CBSE Board exams to commence on March 2

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct the board exams for classes X and XII from 2nd March, 2014. In all, 13.72 lakh candidates have registered for the Class X exam, up from 13.28 lakh in 2014.

Out of them, 6.7 lakh students have opted for the board test while the rest will take the school-based exam. On the other hand, a total of 10.39 lakh candidates have registered for the Class XII exam with an increase of around 10,000 from 2014.

With 10 vocational subjects, the Class X board exams will commence on 2nd March, 2015. The first major subject will be science on 3rd March, 2015, to be followed by social science on 10th March, 2015. Hindi A & B are on 12th March while the mathematics test is scheduled for 16th March, 2015.

Various music examinations will be on 18th March, 2015 followed by English on March 19th March, 2015. The examinations end on 26th March with subjects like Bodo, Kashmiri, Sindhi and Russian. All tests will start at 10.30am.

The Class XII exam will also start on 2nd March, 2015 with English elective, elective-c and core. The first commerce subject is business studies on March 4 while the first science paper will be physics on 9th March, 2015.
